Rosie Being Real

So, this is my new blog.

This blog has been on my mind for many months.  It has constantly been at the back of my mind.  I've had a little voice that has been all too eager to remind me that I haven't started it yet.  Ever since I knew I needed to start this blog I have put it off.  I can give you a whole list of excuses of why I have put it off - pregnancy, young kids to chase around, a household to upkeep, a marriage to nurture, church responsibilities, etc.  All of those are valid reasons why I haven't started, but are they the real reason?  Nope, not in the slightest bit.  The real reason?

Fear.

Fear of what, you might ask?

Fear of the unknown.  Fear of what this blog will teach me.  Fear of the pain that will come when I am learning from this blog.  Fear of what people will think of me and my blog.  Fear of the things I will have to admit to myself and to others.  Fear of opening myself up for the whole world to see.  Fear of not living up to what I know to be true.

You might be thinking that's a lot to be a afraid of when it comes to a little ol' blog.  After all, everyone has a blog.  And you are definitely right.  It is just a blog.  But it is not just a blog to me.  This is so much more.  My Heavenly Father whispered to me that I needed to write this blog.  He whispered that there are a lot of people that need to hear the things that I have to share, that there are a lot of things I need to learn through sharing them.  Because this is something that is needed, that I need and possibly other people need, the forces that be have done everything they can to keep me from doing it.  That is why I have been so afraid of this little ol' blog.

I am not letting fear stop me anymore, though.  So I introduce you all to my blog: Rosie (that's me) Being REAL.  Stick around and check back as I open up and get REAL about my life experiences.
